for windows based PC’s there is Smart Voip, InterVoip, Freecall.etc..etc..
i am looking at something like this for Mac.. Will appreciate your answers…

The best SIP-based voip client I’ve found for the Mac is called “Telephone” and it’s from Google. It’s very basic but works well. Another good one is X-lite (they also have a commercial version called Bria).
If you want something with more features, and don’t need SIP, then Skype would be another good option.
