I’ve been using Yahoo Messenger for my PC to land line Calls, but I want to use Skype. I’d hate to have to start fresh with a new phone number. Is there a way to transfer or something?

No, Yahoo voice and Skype do not support number porting.
I don’t think you can even do call forwarding with Yahoo Voice.
But, with Skype you can do call forwarding to other numbers.
