I have Vonage VoIP service and it sucks, anyone know how to make it better?

I have a decent DSL stream of 1.5 mbps and a pretty decent upload…..we have had Vonage for some time now and the service sucks…..the quality of the sound is bad, the line is staticy, very scratchy, cuts in and out….I tried to call and cancel but they put me on hold for 45 minutes only to tell me their account managers are gone for the weekend. Is there anything I can do? My DSL is pretty much at max speed? Are there better VoIP services out there?

yes, I also have Packet8 for over three years now….and never had a problem! I take my equipment to Germany, or use my Packet8 Softfone for free…also never had a problem….P8 packet are send totally different from Vonage….I think that’s the reason it works so great, and they don’t spend all there money on advertising!!!
